Total Solar Eclipse
The first total solar Eclipse to be visible from mainland Europe since 1999! But, the best place to view will be in Greenland as it will happen during the day and will be centered directly underneath the Sun's path.
Dates - August 11th to August 13th, 2026​
Stay - Hotel Hans Egede OR Aurora Hut, both starting at $700 for 2 nights depending on room type. Both located in Nuuk, Greenland's capital city, and selling out fast!

New Year's Eve 2026
I imagine an overnight full of debauchery and sin, or 2-3 days of doing whatever the opposite of our resolutions are, haha! Let's go for a big city adventure filled with wonderful food and drinks, a luxury hotel to mess up together, and a beautiful fireworks display. We may also consider spending the following days together just relaxing and recuperating at the spa.
Dates - December 30th or 31st to January 1st or 2nd​
Stay - Whatever 4/5 star hotel in whatever big city we choose! Averaging between $300-$600.

Total Lunar Eclipse
Self explanatory. I just love natural phenomena!

Stay - Anywhere we'd like, really. The maximum eclipse will be fully visible in the PNW around 3:30am, or perfectly viewed from Eastern Asia or Eastern Australia at a more acceptable time of day with the maximum hitting between 6 and 10pm, about 11:30 UTC.

250th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence
Let's celebrate together in a small town, get away from the big-city noise, and watch spectacular fireworks displays with the locals at ​one of the oldest continuous 4th of July Celebrations in the USA in Lilitz, Pennsylvania, just a 90 minute drive west of Philadelphia!​

A well-crafted escape located in the Alberta Arts District where we can explore the nearby art galleries and murals. Boasting mineral pools of varying degrees, saunas, steam rooms, cold plunges and restorative spa therapies in their underground silent sanctuary, as well as a normally heated pool in their rare and exotic plant conservatory. For dinner, their restaurant, Terra Mae, features inventive small plates fusing Portuguese and Japanese cuisines.

This historic building features rich woodwork, ornate chandeliers, a grand lobby fireplace, and fine luxury Italian bedding that makes you feel like old money. They have an indoor pool, jacuzzi, a full-service spa and salon, and their Honeymoon Suite has a jetted tub that I feel resembles a pair of full, kissable lips, hehe! The cocktail lounge has a dramatic peacock stained-glass ceiling that wows me every time I see it. This is really the best hotel option available for my Spokane-based lovers.
